EV Battery Care Tips to Extend Lifespan

The battery is the heart of every electric vehicle (EV), powering your journeys while delivering efficient, quiet, and eco-friendly transportation. Modern EV batteries are designed to last for many years, often retaining excellent performance well beyond 150,000 kilometers. However, like any advanced technology, proper care and charging habits can significantly improve battery longevity and maintain optimal performance.

While it may seem beneficial to fully charge your battery every time, regularly charging to 100% can place additional stress on lithium-ion batteries. For everyday driving, most manufacturers recommend maintaining the battery between **20% and 80%. Allowing the battery to reach extremely low charge levels on a regular basis can accelerate battery wear over time. Instead of waiting until the battery is nearly empty, recharge your EV when it reaches around 20% to 30%.
